  1. We've updated the Member Photo Directory; find it in the Members (Only) Documents (you need to sign in).
  2. Weather reporting, aka SkyWarn has two training classes, one in Sept, the other in Oct; see the SkyWarn page.
  3. Need to renew your Ham Radio license? Bill W, K4IRC said "Give yourself extra time", the the FCC is struggling and renewal may take longer than you expect. 
  4. Are you interested in a Beginners VHF ragchew? Check out the 146.775 repeater at 9 pm, Monday - Thursday nights. It has Echolink too. See the weekly net line-up section below, item #13 for more info. 
  5. Larry I, KG4JHN has invited us to join the D-STAR and DMR nets on Tuesday nights. See the weekly net line-up section below, items #6 and #7. Click the picture to enlarge it.


What's going on this week (Weekly/upcoming Calendar)
  1. Tuesday: Clubhouse (~1:30 - 4 pm). John Davis KK4CHL is the POC. John may be busy and not there on Tuesdays as often for the next month or two (Oct and Nov).  
  2. Wednesday: Clubhouse Kit Night, (7-9 pm), Oct 7. POC is John Davis KK4CHL.
  3. Thursday: Breakfast Oct 8, 8:15 am at Netties. See the breakfast paragaph below.
  4. Thursday: Monthly Club Meeting, Oct 8, 7:30 PM at the Veterans Club 2500 15th Ave, Vero Beach.

  6. What's QRP? We operate our Radios in the Park !!
  7. Saturday: QRP Oct 10 at A.W. Young's Park, aka "The Fingers". Lunch (around 11:30 am) is at the American Legion, 1535 Old Dixie Hwy, 1 block south of 16th St.

Ham Radio Clubhouse
John D. / KK4CHL typically makes the clubhouse available  twice a week, see the weekly schedule above. John is looking for helpers: 1. Tune the Log antenna (check comm path), 2. Erect the end-feed antenna. If you go on your own, remember, you need both an outside and inside combo to access the clubhouse. If you need a combo and you have paid your dues, and want to know where the club house is, please contact John D. / KK4CHL. Please remember to use the shack log-in sheet. 

American Red Cross
Thanks to some of our club members, we now have meetings at the American Red Cross building located 2506 17th Ave, Vero Beach. It's on the northeast corner of 26th St and 17 Ave (2 blocks from the VB Veterans Club). We have "Kit Night" every Friday at the Red Cross. Twice a month, the 3rd and 4th week, we have Thursday meetings for various topics. See the weekly calendar paragraph (above) for details.
